Investing.com \u2013 Japan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.<\/p>\n

At the close in Tokyo, the declined 0.16%.<\/p>\n

The best performers of the session on the were Trend Micro Inc. <\/span><\/span> (TYO:), which rose 13.52% or 820.00 points to trade at 6,885.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding <\/span><\/span> (TYO:) added 12.64% or 55.00 points to end at 490.00 and Resonac Holdings Corp (TYO:) was up 10.47% or 246.50 points to 2,600.50 in late trade.<\/p>\n

The worst performers of the session were JGC Corp. <\/span><\/span> (TYO:), which fell 11.65% or 215.50 points to trade at 1,634.50 at the close. Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. <\/span><\/span> (TYO:) declined 11.54% or 83.00 points to end at 636.00 and Nikon Corp. <\/span><\/span> (TYO:) was down 10.53% or 162.00 points to 1,376.50.<\/p>\n

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 1896 to 1733 and 232 ended unchanged.<\/p>\n

Shares in Resonac Holdings Corp (TYO:) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.47% or 246.50 to 2,600.50. <\/p>\n

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was up 0.45% to 20.03.<\/p>\n

Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.48% or 0.36 to $76.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.55% or 0.44 to hit $80.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 7.55 to trade at $1,962.25 a troy ounce.<\/p>\n

USD\/JPY was up 0.02% to 151.38, while EUR\/JPY rose 0.02% to 161.48.<\/p>\n

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 105.76.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
