{"id":14708,"date":"2025-06-24T07:52:28","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T07:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infundpros.com\/?p=14708"},"modified":"2025-06-24T07:52:30","modified_gmt":"2025-06-24T07:52:30","slug":"israel-iran-latest-israel-and-iran-agree-to-ceasefire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infundpros.com\/?p=14708","title":{"rendered":"Israel-Iran latest: Israel and Iran agree to ceasefire"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"truncated-1103ec66-80a6-4fb1-bea8-24eb89370b97\">\n<p>Israel and Iran on Tuesday agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire, heralding a possible end to almost two weeks of conflict between the regional rivals. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of the objectives\u201d of its military offensive had been achieved, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s state television said that Tehran had also agreed to halt attacks. <\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier that Tehran would end its military action if Israel stopped its \u201caggression\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The confirmation from both sides came hours after US President Donald Trump said that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire to end what he called the \u201c12 day war\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE,\u201d Trump posted on Truth Social. He later warned both sides against violating the truce. <\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the statement from Netanyahu\u2019s office, Israel\u2019s military said it had detected incoming missile fire from Iran. <\/p>\n<p>The ceasefire announcements followed Tehran\u2019s missile strike late on Monday against the Al Udeid air base near Doha, America\u2019s biggest air base in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Iran said the attack, which caused no casualties, was in response to the US strike against Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities at the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Oil prices extended their declines following the announcement of the ceasefire, with Brent crude, the international benchmark, down 4.9\u00a0per cent to $68.08 a barrel.<\/p>\n<p>Crude had fallen sharply following Iran\u2019s attack on the base in Doha, which traders interpreted as largely a symbolic retaliation, designed to avoid a response from the US. <\/p>\n<p>Israel said that the decision to halt its strikes on Iran was agreed \u201cin full co-ordination with President Trump\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu launched the military campaign against Iran nearly two weeks ago, vowing to eliminate what he said was a threat from Tehran\u2019s missile and nuclear programmes.
