Oil prices crossed $90 a barrel on concerns of an escalation in the Israel-Hamas war.<\/p>\n<p>These stocks were poised to make moves Friday:\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n<p>\n        SolarEdge Technologies<br \/>\n       (SEDG) warned that demand in Europe has slumped significantly and the solar-equipment maker slashed its estimates for third- and fourth-quarter revenue. The stock was falling 28% after<br \/>\n        SolarEdge<br \/>\n       said it experienced \u201csubstantial unexpected cancellations and pushouts of existing backlog from our European distributors\u201d during the second half of the third quarter. Competitor\u00a0<br \/>\n        Enphase Energy<br \/>\n       (ENPH) was down 16%, and shares of solar developers<br \/>\n        Sunrun<br \/>\n       (RUN) and\u00a0<br \/>\n        SunPower<br \/>\n       (SPWR) both dropped 9.7%.<\/p>\n<p>\n        American Express<br \/>\n       (AXP) reported better-than-expected third-quarter earnings of $3.30 a share and its sixth consecutive quarter of record revenue. Total card member spending climbed 7% to $420 billion on a currency-adjusted basis. In the U.S., card spending climbed 9% year over year. The stock was up 0.3%.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings<br \/>\n       (KNX), the North American truckload carrier, said revenue in the third quarter rose 6.5% to $2.02 billion, topping analysts\u2019 estimates. The company\u2019s less-than-truckload segment rose 7%, helping to offset a revenue drop of 22% in its core truckload segment. The stock surged 16%.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Intuitive Surgical<br \/>\n        Intuitive Surgical<br \/>\n       (ISRG) was falling 6.7% after third-quarter revenue of $1.74 billion at the surgical robotics company missed analysts\u2019 estimates. Adjusted earnings of $1.46 a share beat forecasts of $1.42.<\/p>\n<p>SLB (SLB), the oil-field services company formerly known as Schlumberger, reported third-quarter earnings of 78 cents a share, beating analysts\u2019 expectations of 77 cents, but revenue of $8.31 billion that just missed forecasts.<br \/>\n        SLB<br \/>\n       stock declined 2.1%.<\/p>\n<p>\n        Hewlett Packard Enterprise<br \/>\n       (HPE) fell 3.9% after the enterprise hardware and services company said it expects adjusted earnings in fiscal 2024 of $1.82 to $2.02 a share, below analysts\u2019 forecasts of $2.15. HPE forecast revenue growth in fiscal 2024 of 2% to 4%.<\/p>\n<p>Railroad company<br \/>\n        CSX<br \/>\n       (<br \/>\n        CSX<br \/>\n      ) reported third-quarter earnings of 42 cents a share, 1 cent below Wall Street estimates. Revenue of $3.57 billion topped estimates but fell from $3.89 billion in the year-earlier quarter.
