{"id":6499,"date":"2023-10-28T19:43:26","date_gmt":"2023-10-28T19:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infundpros.com\/markets\/stocks\/midday-movers-amazon-intel-ford-motor-exxon-mobil-and-more\/"},"modified":"2023-10-28T19:43:26","modified_gmt":"2023-10-28T19:43:26","slug":"midday-movers-amazon-intel-ford-motor-exxon-mobil-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infundpros.com\/?p=6499","title":{"rendered":"Midday movers: Amazon, Intel, Ford Motor, Exxon Mobil and more"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div id=\"imgCarousel\" class=\"imgCarousel\">\n<p><span class=\"text\">\u00a9 Reuters. <\/span><br \/>\n<i class=\"imgGrad\"><\/i>\n<\/div>\n<p>Investing.com &#8212; U.S. stocks are mixed on Friday as tech tried to stage a comeback after earnings reports from Amazon and Intel.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the biggest U.S. stock movers today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Amazon<\/strong> (NASDAQ:) stock rose 7% after the e-commerce giant reported third-quarter results that topped expectations as growth in its cloud business continued to stabilize and advertising growth jumped.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Intel<\/strong> (NASDAQ:) stock rose 9.7% after the chip manufacturer delivered better-than-expected guidance for the current quarter after third-quarter earnings markedly beat analyst estimates amid signs PC demand has bottomed out.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Ford<\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell more than 10% after the auto giant withdrew its full-year results forecast due to &#8220;uncertainty&#8221; over the pending ratification of its deal with the United Auto Workers union.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong> <span itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Corporation\"><span itemprop=\"name\"> Exxon Mobil <\/span><\/span> <\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 2.3% after the oil major posted a $9.1 billion third-quarter profit, an about 54% drop from record earnings a year ago but up from the prior quarter as oil prices recovered.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>JPMorgan<\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 2.9% after the biggest U.S. bank said CEO Jamie Dimon would sell a portion of his stock holdings in the bank in 2024 for financial diversification and tax planning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong> <span itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Corporation\"><span itemprop=\"name\"> Chevron <\/span><\/span> <\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 5.9% after the oil giant reported a fall in third-quarter profit despite higher oil prices, days after agreeing to buy smaller U.S. rival Hess (NYSE:) for $53 billion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Natwest<\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 12.7% after the Financial Conduct Authority said it had identified potential &#8220;regulatory breaches&#8221; in the U.K.-based lender\u2019s handling of a decision to close former Brexit party leader Nigel Farage&#8217;s accounts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong> <span itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Corporation\"><span itemprop=\"name\"> Sanofi <\/span><\/span> <\/strong> (NASDAQ:) ADRs fell 19.5% after the French drugmaker dropped its 2025 profit target under a plan to list its consumer healthcare business, while lifting its development spending plans.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Enphase Energy<\/strong> (NASDAQ:) stock slumped 14% after the solar inverter maker missed quarterly revenue forecasts and offered full-year guidance well below expectations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>AbbVie<\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 5.3% after the pharmaceutical company raised its annual profit forecast after beating quarterly earnings estimates, helped by a lower-than-feared drop in sales of its blockbuster arthritis drug, Humira, and strong demand for newer drugs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colgate-Palmolive<\/strong> (NYSE:) stock fell 1.2% after the consumer goods company raised its annual organic sales and profit forecasts for a third time this year, betting on price hikes and steady demand for its self-care and pet nutrition products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Read the full article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investing.com\/news\/stock-market-news\/amazon-intel-exxon-mobil-rise-premarket-ford-chevron-fall-3211745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a9 Reuters.
