Stocks were posting solid gains Monday\u00a0after declines last week dropped the
\n S&P 500
\n into correction territory. Wall Street has a lot to contend with this week: a decision on interest rates from the Federal Reserve, the monthly U.S. jobs report, and more corporate earnings with the highlight being
\n Apple
\n \u2018s quarterly numbers.<\/p>\n

These stocks were making moves Monday:\u00a0 <\/p>\n

\n

\n Western Digital
\n (WDC) was rising 9.7% after the data-storage company said it intends to split its disk-drive and flash memory businesses into two independent companies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n SoFi Technologies
\n (SOFI) jumped 7.9% after reporting third-quarter adjusted revenue of $531 million, higher than analysts\u2019 estimates. The fintech company also raised its revenue outlook for 2023.<\/p>\n

Fast-food chain
\n McDonald\u2019s
\n (MCD) reported third-quarter earnings and revenue better than Wall Street expectations.\u00a0Same-store sales in the U.S. rose 8.1%, higher than expectations of an increase of 7.5%. The stock was up 0.1%.<\/p>\n

\n ON Semiconductor
\n (ON) posted third-quarter earnings and revenue that were better than Wall Street estimates, but provided fourth-quarter guidance below expectations. The stock was down 15%.<\/p>\n

\n Lumentum
\n (LITE) said it would be acquiring Cloud Light in a transaction with a value of about $750 million. The acquisition,
\n Lumentum
\n said, is expected to accelerate the company\u2019s \u201cpush into the fastest growing segments of the multibillion-dollar opportunity for optical modules used in cloud computing data center infrastructure.\u00a0\u201d Lumentum shares rose 13%.<\/p>\n

\n Revvity
\n (RVTY), the health sciences company, missed third-quarter earnings expectations and cut its full-year outlook. The stock fell 17%.<\/p>\n

\n AbbVie
\n (ABBV) rose 3.7% to $144.01 after analysts at Barclays upgraded shares of the biopharmaceutical company to Overweight from Equal Weight and raised their target to $170 from $160.
\n AbbVie
\n declined 4% on Friday after reporting quarterly earnings that beat analysts\u2019 estimates.<\/p>\n

\n (ANET),
\n Pinterest
\n (PINS), and
\n VF Corp.
\n (VFC).<\/p>\n
