Source: Adobe \/ Vladimir Kazakov<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pyth Network \u2013 a popular blockchain oracle provider \u2013 has announced plans for a \u201cretrospective token airdrop\u201d to community members who have contributed to its network.<\/p>\n<p>The airdrop will distribute 6% of the total supply of the network\u2019s governance token, PYTH, to eligible participants. That could include anyone from a \u201cDeFi Participant,\u201d to a \u201cCommunity Member,\u201d to any decentralized applications using Pyth\u2019s data for its smart contracts.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pyth, this airdrop will mark \u201cthe largest cross-chain, usage-oriented airdrop program,\u201d in Web3 and DeFi. Over 75,000 wallets and 200 dapps across 27 different blockchains will be eligible for participation, based on backward-looking snapshots of on-chain and social activity surrounding the network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe program is an expression of deep appreciation for the dedicated Pyth Network stakeholder community,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PythNetwork\/status\/1719658879162700174\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a> Pyth to X on Wednesday. \u201cWe remain committed to fostering a thriving oracle ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As an oracle data service, Pyth provides price-feed data for crypto, equities, and FX across numerous blockchains with help from over 85 data providers.
